Article: Carín León’s Historic Sphere Residency
Mexican music star Carín León made history in September 2026 as the first Latino artist to perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas, launching his first residency at the iconic venue. Originally scheduled for seven shows from September 4–13, the residency was shortened to six nights after the September 10 concert was canceled due to what León described as “airplane issues.”
The shows welcomed around 20,000 fans per night and featured spectacular Sphere visuals inspired by León’s native Sonora and Hermosillo, including desert landscapes and Mexican imagery.
León also brought an impressive lineup of special guests to the stage:

Cody Johnson — September 4; performed their bilingual hit “She Hurts Like Tequila.”

The Warning — September 4–6; joined León for their collaboration “Love to Be Loved.”

Jorge Medina — September 4; performed “El Final de Nuestra Historia” and “En los Puritos Huesos.”

Ricky Muñoz of Intocable — September 5; made a surprise appearance for a collaboration celebrating generations of Mexican music.

Kany García — September 6; performed “El Sombrero y la Camisa” live for the first time, as well as “Te Lo Agradezco.”

Pepe Aguilar — September 11; joined León for “Lamentablemente” and Aguilar’s classic “Por Mujeres Como Tú.”
The residency became a major celebration of Mexican music, León’s Sonoran roots, and the blending of regional Mexican music with country and rock.
